Bianchi in full swing at Giro: Ferrari took third
Giro d’Italia in full swing for Bianchi and Androni Giocattoli. After Angel Vicioso’s victory in sadness last Monday, beacuse of Belgian Wouter Weylandt’s dramatic deathly crash in stage3 and José Serpa’s podium in stage5, Roberto Ferrari took third in 216-km stage6, from Orvieto to Fiuggi Terme (mid Italy), on Thursday, May 12th.

28 year-old Androni’s rider was outsprinted by Spanish Francisco Ventoso (Movistar) and Italian Alessandro Petacchi (Lampre-ISD), on a difficult and climby finish. Dutch Pieter Weening (Rabobank) saved pink jersey. Ferrari had already placed fourth with his Bianchi Oltre model at the Giro’s stage2, in Parma.
