TX Active-Bianchi’s U23 rider hold on his position in Offenburg stage3
It was a demanding day for Gerhard Kerschbaumer, in the World Cup XCO’s round-3. In spite of physical problems, TX Active-Bianchi’s U23 rider hold on the 2nd place overall in Offenburg (Germany), clinching the 10th position thanks to a generous performance on Saturday, May 28th. His main opponent, Austrian Alexander Gehbauer, won the race, but Kerschbaumer already warns him: “I’ll get my revenge in round four”.

Gimondi team’s rider, winner in Pietermaritzburg and runner-up in Dalby Forest, started smoothly and controlled the race in the first lap. He run in the leading group also in the second lap, then he complained for physical problems and slid to tenth position. “It was the first time I suffered such problems. I had stomachache and backache. The second overall? It’s good, but today I can’t be happy”, Kerschbaumer commented.

TX Active-Bianchi will look for more satisfactions in Offenburg’s Elite race, on Sunday, May 29th at 2 p.m. It won’t be easy, but the goal is to take a Top-10 position with French Stephane Tempier, 9th overall after two rounds, and good placements by Tony Longo and Cristian Cominelli.
